Changing region console command not working

I've been queueing with my friend that is from NA and I'm from EU however we can no longer play together due to us being permanently put on EU servers every time we play despite me putting in the region override command every time I launch. EU servers are very toxic and my friend playing on high ping when he's not used to it makes the experience very unenjoyable, thus we stopped playing.

PLEASE FIX THE REGION OVERRIDE CONSOLE COMMAND SO ME AND MY FRIEND CAN PLAY TOGETHER AGAIN!
