Can't equip active items to their slots via pressing the corresponding keyboard buttons

When buying an active item, I'm no longer able to press the buttons on my keyboard (z, x, c, v) to equip the item to the corresponding slot. Instead, I have to click on the slot in the window that pops up when buying the item. This has been happening in all cases for me so far since the July 4th patch.
