Cannot jump off zipline when I change my keybind

I use a Kinesis Advantage 360 for gaming, and need to change my keybinds around if I want to play, while easily using text chat. However, I've found that when I change my keybind for jump to backspace, I am no longer able to jump off of the zipline. I can only do the fall.
