shes been out for over a month and she recieved minor changes that havent effected her at all. it blows me away that this dev team released calico with a completely different kit than what she had in hero labs. hero labs exists for a reason, dont change someones kit the moment you release them out of hero labs
anyway on to the "bug"
EVERY CALLICO IVE PLAYED AGAINST SINCE HER "NERFS" HAVE OVER 2K SOULS PER MINUTE AND 2KDPS GUN DAMAGE WITH IMPROVED BULLET ARMOUR. FIX YOUR DAMN GAME YOSHI. IF YOURE GOING TO DO LESS FREQUENT PATCHES, MAKE THEM MAJOR PATCHES NOT THESE MINOR "REMOVE STAT MICROBUFF X HERO MICRONERF X HERO.
callico should be a risk vs reward hero. high risk high reward, low risk low reward, like paradox.
paradox being a high risk high reward glass cannon with a shield is balanced around her not having ANY native escape/defense tools. she DOES NOT have a get out of jail free card. CALLICO HAS TWO! TWO! TWO OF THEM! she has e-shift as her ult that does scaling spirit damage, and ava gives her +110% move speed + 30hps. her ult is on on a 70 second cooldown, ava is on a 45 second cooldown that ticks down while youre in ava. at max level with zero items, you can pop ava, sit in ava for the entire duration, then pop ava again instantly after leaving ava. someone explain to me how and why that is balanced/allowed.
now on to her worst ability imo, her 2. why in gods name would you give a glass cannon a 1.6x spirit scaling heal that can basically reset its cooldown on contact with an enemy????? not only that, it does melee damage that scales with weapon damage% meaning you cant itemize against it unless you buy melee resist items, something most heroes dont gain anything from. why would a paradox buy lifestrike? or torment pulse? or point blank? they wouldnt, but they have to to itemize against callico.
you tried to balance it out by making all but her 1 effected by slowing hex, but because shes a melee centered hero shes going to buy debuff reducer and even remover, completely negating your slowing hex
my suggestion, make her TAKE damage amp while in ava, like magicians rabbit hex, dont allow ava's speed to be % based, and force her to a set max speed like you have done with haze, the urn, seven, and bebop, and dont allow the ava cooldown to tick down while you are in ava, make her 2 deal flat damage like lash's 2 and talons 2, OR make her 2 parryable like viscous' 3, and last but not least completely remove the -50%cd on her 2, and make it like improved spirit scaling or some shit like lash slam.
all of the games im vs calico she builds hard gun, and just w+m1 with no ramafications. metal skin? you dont have enough dps to shred through her insane life steal on her w+m1+2 combo, and if you do have enough dps she pops ava and leaves unpunished. return fire? the +20% resist works against you as you take less damage, thus deal less damage, and most calicos do buy one armour or the other. all she has to do is buy improved bullet armour and return fire has been nullified where youre taking FAR more damage than she is to the point shes not threatened by the return fire and just keeps running at you. slowing hex? debuff reducer/ulting in advance to block the hex. silence items? silence doesnt silence your passive items so she just keeps running you down with crazy autoattack damage that youre forced to leave. this character is actually busted and the competition is nowhere in sight. you guys saw all the alchemists whining about viper so you nerfed her into the ground, meanwhile calico gets a -damage slap on the wrist
- Calico: Leaping Slash T2 damage decreased from +75 to +60
- Calico: Return to Shadows cooldown increased from 90s to 100s
- Calico: Return to Shadows speed reduced from +50% to +30%
- Calico: Return to Shadows T2 now also grants +20% speed
like what is this????? +10s on ult cd, -15 flat damage from a scaling damage type, and you just offset her speed buff on her ult to t2. this patch did NOTHING to stop callico from being the most dominat hero in the game, no wonder your player base is dwindling down to pre NDA lifting. take some notes from that and revert the 'less patches' bullshit. bring back patches every 2 weeks. it was far more healthy for the game than this completely random patch cycle.
i genuinely love this game, but im so tired of playing "defend the raidboss, and mald at teammates who dont try to itemize against her". its not fun. i may be ritualist, but ive seen eternus players complain about the same exact shit. do you people even *watch* gameplay or do you just do statistic based balancing? cus i go look at the stats, and in high elo lobbies like phantom an up her winrate is pretty average, whereas vyper's is through the floor, yet who got the panic nerf. vyper. why did vyper get the panic nerf? cus low elo players were crying. wheres the panic nerf for calico? please explain why this hero hasnt been rebalanced in over a month. i need to know.
