Bug: Arcane Surge duration bonus doesn't last the full channel of a skill (Video)

The new item Arcane Surge increases the next skills' duration by 20%.
The buff lasts 7 seconds.
However if you have an ability that is channeled longer than the duration of the Arcane Surge the channeled ability gets cut out of it's increased duration.

This means that if you use an ability at the end of Arcane Surge it won't receive the full benefit of the increased duration.

I tested this with Dynamo's Rejuvenating Aurora that has a channel duration of 5 seconds. I would perform the dash jump, wait around 3 seconds and then cast the ability. You can clearly see the channeling bar jump ahead when the Arcane Surge buff ends. Video:

Since the item is quite new I can't tell if this is intended. This also would mean that using your ultimate at the end of the buff would suddenly cut its' duration which isn't ideal. I assume this is how the buff behaves right now with all channeled abilities.

I personally understand losing the spirit effect, but not duration during a channeled ability. I don't think the area of an ability is affected but I'll test that later.

The spirit power given by it also doesnt work with infernus afterburn IN SPECIFIC. Its very odd because you see your spirit going up but damage is unchanged. Already reported as soon as the patch went wout but they didnt fixed in the first hotfix, hopefully it comes next
 
I tested it with Dynamo's ultimate. This time I waited roughly 5 seconds or so and then activated my ultimate.

The casting bar jumps ahead, just like with the heal, but seemingly the ultimate continues. It looks like Dynamo is freed from it but the effect lingers. I tried it with the moving target too to confirm.

The 20% distance increase doesn't seem to be affected here, only the duration. So I can't think of this being intended. This is shown in the video also. If one effect lingers post buff, then they should all linger. Spirit too, if the ability is channeled.

It might just be a visual bug you say, but the healing ability does get cut in duration so it's not just the casting bar. Also you can see Dynamo is freed early from his Singularity allowing an unfair advantage for Dynamo to escape even before his ultimate ends.

I'd also like to include that Singularity has a text that states "Once it's finished, enemies get knocked into the air." This does not happen at all.
 
Tested to see if Dynamo is freed from his ultimate while it is still in effect. It does indeed do that.

The ultimate continues while you are dashing away. This means you can use items too like Refresher etc. while enemies are still trapped in your ultimate giving you a possible unfair advantage too.
 
Similar issue with the spirit power from the buff on Pocket's ult. Damage decreases as soon as the fire rate buff ends. Assuming hte duration has a similar issue. Arcane surge in general seems to not work properly with abilities that are longer than the buff duration.
