Banned for nothing?

Today I was playing a game, we lost, and I stayed in the post-game lobby for a while. I stepped away from my PC, came back, closed the results screen and got a 5-hour ban. I still don’t understand why. I played the match all the way through and never disconnected. I also just don't use chat. Just basic phrases. So I haven't written anything to anyone.

Previously, on a completely different day, I got a 15-minute ban for leaving a game after one of our teammates had already disconnected. I left the wrong way, usually there are two buttons, and I clicked “forfeit match” instead of “disconnect.” Maybe I wrote it incorrectly because I play in a different language.

First of all, it would be nice to clarify what those two buttons actually mean.
Second, it would be great to add a “surrender” option so situations like this wouldn’t happen. I once had a game where 4 people left, and I wasn’t sure if I could leave without getting banned.

Also, the ban prevents you from playing EVEN WITH BOTS isn’t that a little too harsh?

there's a difference between "disconnected" and "abandoned"
When a teammate disconnects it could mean alot of things. Maybe the game crashed, or maybe they had the dead ability bug and had to restart. Sometimes you just gatta go.

After a certain amount of time a DC registers as an abandon - so sometimes there's a wait

If you are abandoning as soon as you see someone DC then you are the person who is abandoning first and therefore getting the punishment.
You need to check the top right side of the screen to see a red box that let's you know that the game is safe to abandon. then you can.

They will never add surrender to this game and they never should. (except the 5/6 stack solution dota has)
