Banned for leaving Hero Testing

While queuing, I entered Hero Testing and after a few minutes I tried to leave but was prompted with the Abandon Match option.

I decided to leave and was banned for a few hour.

Was I somehow connected to a game but was instantiated in the Hero Testing ?
