Apex is a science experiment constructed by the US government to be the ultimate super soldier. Because why the fuck not, they got access to a bunch of different dimensions, you think they're NOT gonna do fuckin war crimes with them? These are the same people who criminalized not having a damn house.
Anyway, Apex is not the only one of his kind, and his intent is to summon to Patrons to free his brothers and sisters from the confines of the laboratory and the threat of extermination once the project is fully shut down. Because yes, the project was a failure. Apex is in constant pain for christ sake, half his nerves were spliced with roots and various tumors riddle his entire body. That's not stopping him from keeping his allies alive, though, and if all else fails, he can make a last ditch effort. A very... explosive one.
