Anti-Range Item T1

How about an item that increases your armor based on distance from enemy. The farther, the higher the armor. Because it's T1 it obviously shouldn't be overpoweringly strong, but I think it's a decent idea to counter high DPS characters early game.

Go buy restorative shot. It provides 400 hp per minute if you shoot the enemy laner at any range every 6 seconds + 100 bullet shield. That and other sources of early sustain are more than enough.

Realistically, I love the diversity this game has in how you can build. There are many different ways to deal with every situation. Just because there already is a solution doesn't mean another solution isn't valid. Regardless of the fact Restorative Shot exists, this item would still be good for diversity of build.

Thinking about it, I would be a little afraid of tank item creep. There's already a decent lack of pure anti-lank while already having a pretty good chunk of pure tank items.

Further, I imagine they don't want this to be like DOTA or League where item building because too heavily reactionary because there's much more to focus on.

However, I'd like to note Vindicta, Wraith, and Haze all have been decently high on the score boards at certain points. Yes, they're fairly balanced overall and have their counters [Waith debuff remover, haze knockdown] but at certain skill brackets these characters soar. I think this item in particular could help with that. Because these characters are genuinely well balanced enough they don't need a nerf, an item seems very appropriate to simply "finish off" the balance issue. Thinking about it, this could help with Paradox as well who has a similar issue of spiking in the high brackets but failing in lower brackets.

There is such thing as too many options, especially in a gameplay loop defined by utilizing limited resources at their full potential. Adding more items that are already done better by multiple existing items just because they're "nice to have" only serves to bloat up the gameplay experience and introduce more opportunities for balancing to fail.

This game is being spearheaded by icefrog. He practically created this genre.

None of them are particularly broken enough in the early game at ranges where an "anti-range t1" would warrant existing.
