Alternative to Wards?

If yall want wards, you guys probably dont need help with that. If you wanted some alternative to the standard vision thing, I was thinking maybe tripwires or motion sensors? Could even have different prices for single use, visible or hidden ones. There is certain utility in say, putting a tripwire down in enemy basement, and they dont know when they set it off, so you go and kill them. But also, a sensor they DO know about, and then they have to make the choice if they want to stay, lay an ambush, run away etc. Could have some really interesting bluffing and strats. I can imagine putting a tripwire somewhere their carry wants to go, and then they set it off, and then you guys dont show, and their team may feel forced to vacate the area or commit multiple heroes to defending it, and it ends up wasting their time. Just an idea I had :)
 
I like motion sensors. Makes a low ping sound and could show a blinking red animation in whatever area of the map it is tripped.
 
Perhaps something like Hunt Showdown's alert trip mines?
  • If an unsuspecting enemy runs into the trip wire, they shoot a noisy flare into the air.
  • But attentive enemies can shoot them! (I.e. destroying them or triggering them to confuse you)
Maybe this could be a nice spirit item for players wanting to keep track of chokepoints?

not necesary, if you pay atention you hear steps and you can dodge easyly using items like leap or ambush or just not risking in one lane if you see enemy heroes are not shown on minimap so you will be forced to coop with someone to face a lane.
 
Mayby an active item with a "Sonar Pulse" that reveals which neutral camps and boxes/idols have been harvested, with a bonus of showing you if any of them are being farmed currently.
 
even if some actions (like reaching mid health in central boss) are just sounds, I believe that something like wards should be shown in the map
