Alt-tabbed out, refocused on game as game started, couldn't aim

- I alt tabbed out during the loading screen
- Clicked to refocus on the game, but didn't control the character in waiting period
- Alt tabbed out again
- Clicked to focus on the game at the same time that the timer hit 0

Afterwards I could not control my aim, only the cursor. Needed to restart the game in order to fix it.

Didn't even pressing Esc help? Or opening a console?
Or were these keys not manageable?
