I've tested this on my end, but if you set a hero specific cancel key, it actually ends up being the universal cancel key for all heroes. The game will also incorrectly tell you your cancel ability is incorrect, e.g. if I set my Lady Geist life-drain ability to cancel with "n," but I'm playing Mo & Krill and use burrow, the in-game prompt (above the time remaining on the ability bar) will tell me to cancel with "spacebar;" but, I can only cancel my burrow with "n."
