After a pause causes FPS to tank down to 4fps or lower

Around 40 minutes someone pauses the game and after it ends I Bebop my fps goes down to nearly 0 and I can hardly do anything. I have to restart the game to fix.

similar story here but i cant pinpoint if its because of the pause or the alt tabbing during it. disconnecting via console and reconnecting did the job for me. The "38" fps i have on my screenshot are wrong atleast it felt more like 1fps.
