I just reloaded using Active Reload, and when the gun reloaded, it was missing 1 bullet and I had to do it again. Also, normally it has a cooldown (I think?) but it didn't cool down, almost as if it had self-interrupted. Honestly this item is kind of confusing with the skillcheck too-- It looks like you need to press the R button right at the start of the glowing portion of the ring, and it doesn't work in the middle part as it looks like it does. I play Dead by Daylight with similar skillchecks, and you can press the button during any part of the highlight for the effect.
