If you proc quicksilver reload on abrams while reloading, it forces you to continue a full reload cycle without gaining any ammo, and then a second one to refill however many empty shells you had remaining. If you do it with 0 ammo left, that means you have to do an entire reload cycle on him twice, and you can't shoot at all during the first one.
