A "Quelling Blade" type item

We have Monster Rounds for one half of Quelling Blade but I'd really like to see the "tree destruction" aspect of the item replicated and how I think that could work here is an item that opens a temporary portal/hole in buildings that allows you to cut through them. Obviously the item wouldn't work in a lot of places like the subways but anywhere that had playable area on the other side should work just fine.

I'd love to see the new juking opportunities opened up by this item
 
They would need to remodel map with this item in mind, or else in be too strong, like medium camps with walls all around it, while enemies will have to jump over it or walk intended way, you could just go through and get away.
Also it would be probably ridden with bugs.

Not so, the idea was that the "hole" would exist for a while and anybody could go through it, the juking potential would come from the mind games of did they actually go through here or did they just want us to think they did.

Ok, then you can abuse it, with abrams slamming people as they go into bad position with chasing him, etc.
Also bugs doesnt go anywhere.

Ok? The item being mildly good on a character isn't bad. Like your scenario doesn't even sound very realistic or that good

The potential for bugs is not worth discussing since it's the devs responsibility to make sure they aren't there if the item did exist. It also just isn't a good argument for an item not existing, Midas had a crazy bug in Dota 2 for a few weeks just recently, doesn't mean it should be removed and obviously it wasn't, it was fixed

Midas thing is stems from old ahh code base of more than 10+ years with a lot of technical debt, same is why they made straight up new cs game, instead of upgrading it like with dota.
Also if this is added, you will get a lot of meme videos when people bait enemies into close quarters and bad position with this item, and then whack them without any chance to react.

This item alone would require whole new mechanic to be added and worked until this item is in game. Also intense testing and a lot of bug fixing after release. Better not.
Also in moba games, they either nerf things to reiterate them next patch, or remove them only when similar design gonna take place. They dont remove anything after it been added, as it removes potential users from their favorite thing.
When you use this item - enemy either go into portal and risk their all for little reward (kill) or lessen their probability of getting kill by going around, toxic design, i dont see what else to discuss.

I don't see the problem with meme videos, if you are chasing someone and getting punched once is going to cause you to die I don't think you should be chasing them as this sort of thing can already happen in game as it is especially with the juke closets. I really don't see the problem here, if it happens enough then you can predict it and parry as you go through the hole.

If I'm making a game that's supposed to be fun then absolutely lol as someone who has worked in software design this isn't unusual for customers to have needs and wants that aren't convenient but if I am making a product I'm trying to fulfill those requests.

Ok. Gambler was in dota allstars and removed due to his bad design, you either one shot people or you are not lucky enough to get money.
All those removed in dota 2 was due to them too good or too bad. They doesnt remove items that came from dota allstarts at the time of dota 2 launching. What was removed is their own items or ideas they put on top of existing ones or those that grown too good to be in game such as necronomicon or poor man shield. League i dont care much about, and dont know. All they removed from this video was highly toxic and unfit for current game meta.

Your item is unfun to play against, as it leaves no choice but to give up and lose chase if you dont have more mobility then target, or risk being killed due to really bad position.
This thing will not just remove wall, it will create an interable object and you will have to interact, so you wont be able to parry outright or do something before interaction ends, but guy on the other side could inflict damage without retaliation, and then continue his escape or just end you. (Same with ropes right now, you can kick people climbing to you so they will be thrown off, they cant parry only jump off, or try to climb after jumping midway)

If this thing removes wall, it will be bug prone and do what it shouldnt, so devs will need to remodel whole map worth of structures and walls.

Juking and evading is resource check, a guy run out of damage or stamina or something else. So he cant just end you right now. This gives time to run away, hence evading and juking. (there is also scenario when you outplayed him by dodging disables or damage with abilites)

Point about meme is that it mostly not used this way outside of meme material or it is that absurdly good.

Right now they wont add terrain interaction as they reshape map often. Your item is such one big problem without proper solution. How would you make it so the receiving end wont be in really bad position from this item alone?

First they absolutely have removed items that came from Dota Allstars, what do you mean their own items ideas, Icefrog is the same dude that has been working on the game since Dota Allstars basically anything created since he took over back then was implemented by him.

Second, you are just moving the goalpost you didn't have any qualifiers you simply said they don't remove things when they absolutely do, you also have no idea if they ever plan on re-adding things you are just making things up

You have no idea if my item would be unfun to play against as you have never played against it, also not being able to keep up is how chasing already works. No my idea would not create an intractable object, I specifically said a hole that you could walk through, back and forth until the hole is gone, have you ever seen the hit game by Valve called Portal? Also the item has the same effect as an item that already exists in Dota 2, Quelling Blade!! it makes it so you can go through some terrain objects that are normally impassable. Amazing!!

You have no idea if it would be bug prone and I highly doubt it would be since they have literally made this design before in Portal except it was more complicated there, this just makes a portal on both sides of a wall for you to walk through. Or you just make it so it applys a marker on a wall that hides its textures and removes collision, its that easy. You must not have ever designed anything game related if you think this would cause some cascading terrible consequence, after programing it once you literally just add a flag to walls, can be portal-ed true or false wow we did it.

You have clearly lost your mind and are making up ghosts to fight and I will take no further part in it.
