"A CPU that supports the SSE4.2 processor feature is required" message at startup

I know what this error means and that my processor is unsuitable for the game, but the same error has been appearing recently in CS2 players and I hope that this convention will be fixed.

Both games use source 2, If source 2 has been updated to use SSE4.2 then both games will require it.

What processor are you using?

AMD Athlon || X4 640

It only seems to support SSE3 and below

Also that's a 14 year old processor, Unfortunately I can't see that ever being officially supported in deadlock or cs2, you will need to look for an upgrade. The Bulldozer AMD cpu's support sse4.2 and are AM3 but honestly none of them would run source 2 in a playable way. Older ryzen 1000 or 2000 series cpu's can be had for not too much and would be far far better
