Is this the first time you click on the link? If it isn't, and you previously received the 'successful activation' message, then it means that whoever invited you selected the incorrect Steam profile

I got my invite this AM. Accepted it and got a success confirmation, but the game is not showing in Steam

Have your tried restarting your client? If it doesn't show up then your referral most likely went to the wrong account.

Pretty sure my friend/referrer didn't mess it up and I was signed into my steam acct when I first clicked the link and got the success confirmation. Based on the other comments here today, seems like there might be a bug with new user onboarding

But the email linked to my account was not the same as the email where my friend sent me an invite. May it be the problem?

Also I've tried to create a new steam account with the email where I was sent an invite, and it didn't receive the game as well

I received the invite to my [confirmed] steam email

Anyone happy to share the current rough delay between being you being invited/referred and when you got your invite? was invited 4th June and wondering if i got caught in-between invite type changing - working forum account but no email Thank you!
