It almost seems less like a pause and more like a full reset on the wait time seeing as multiple melees seem to yield the same delay.

When you melee after using alt fire you are unable to shoot again for 2-3 seconds.

Since The Cube is only good for the temporary buff and debuff removal in the late game, considering it doesn't scale well at all, it would be a fun tech if using it during Goo Ball would allow you to change directions when you leave it.
