Sometimes the stamina bar indicator will turn white like your stamina has recharged, but it's not a full bar. So at a glance it looks like you can dash, but it hasn't charged yet.

Successfully counter-spelling as Shiv still applies the amount of bloodletting damage you would have taken to you. First noticed with bebop bombs (double bomb) that applied a large amount of bloodletting damage, despite being a successful counter-spell.
