Victor can put 1 point into ult and the retract it and still have the bonus (though the dmg is only added when hitting heroes), he needs to respend the point if he wants lvl 2, but until then its just a free lvl 1 upgrade
Though it doesn't show up on the replay, haze acknowledged that it happened a few seconds later in chat. The killing blow was used, i leapt up on both of our screens (assuming haze saw what I saw) and then bounced back down.
