Agreed! It's super useful to have instant cast for support items. I love having instant cast on most abilities/items, but AoE stuff is quick/confirm cast for me. Rescue Beam is great for instant, but for something like vortex web it really helps to be able to see the actual area of effect.

This is pretty common on Wayland! I use Gamemode to resolve it on this title, as well as others. You'll need to install gamemode onto your system, and edit the launch options of Deadlock in Steam. Your system will likely be different from mine, but here's what my launch options look like...
