If I launch the game and alt-tab out right after it shows up on screen (when the 'Valve' logo appears) it'll freeze and no longer launch. I use fullscreen with a 4k resolution. Not sure what other settings might be relevant, I have 'Full screen focus behaviour' off but I don't know what that...
