After the addition of Multi-Swap T3 upgrade, alt-cast was added to Paradoxical Swap to enable still swapping only one person. However, the only way to know that is by reading patch notes. It should be mentioned in the ability description.
Both Lady Geist and Victor have incorrect, vague or inconsistent skill descriptions in regards to their self damage, making it impossible to discern how they should behave without reading the patch notes.
Lady Geist:
- The description doesn't reflect the changes from the recent big patch...
No way this is intentional. There isn't a single other skill in the game where Confirm Cast is the only option. It just doesn't make any sense, probably an oversight.
Call Bell also doesn't allow quickcast, but that could be intentional, like Alch Flask.
Can confirm this happens for Superior Cooldown, Superior Duration, Greater Expansion. Buying the original component asks for imbue, but when buying the upgraded version immediately it never asks and therefore does not apply the imbue upgrade.
However, this is not the case for Mercurial Magnum -...
Another option is to cancel all drains if the ability is used without a target, but never if it was used to start a new drain. Both are infinitely better than the current situation, where it's impossible to have multiple drains.
Allowing different Cancel Modes per hero would also help.
It also completely disallows the usage of Ability Key cancel mode, since starting one drain also stops the other. Life Drain should be changed in a way where it won't stop the old drain if you have a target, meaning starting a new drain shouldn't cancel the old one.
Can confirm. Another issue is that it isn't even possible to change this. For example, I don't see any reason to cancel Life Drain except maybe Return Fire, but even then it's questionable, so I just wanted to assign it to another key that I'll never press. However, when I change the Cancel...
Was wondering why casting Swap Wall was failing for me whenever the enemy was not far away. After seeing MikaelS do it without issue, I played with the settings and realized it works without Quick cast.
The current implementation of Quick cast makes it so input buffering doesn't work at all...
It seems that damage amp behaves inconsistently depending on the skill in question, creating very weird or at least unexpected interactions with items like Mystic/Improved Burst. In some cases, they indeed amplify the original damage, while in others they are treated as bonus damage. I've seen...
