Yes, you used to be able to use console commands/ play unreleased heroes in private bot matches then they removed it. I used to play so much Calico and now I'm limited to the sandbox. Also being to have bots in sandbox would be helpful like at the lane to lane against and other features.

To some degree, they do. Anything with a purple star scales with Spirit plus https://deadlocked.wiki/ gives a lot of detail. Also, hovering over an item in the shop will tell you all things it will affect from abilities to items. But yeah... stuff does need to be clearer without needing to look...
