Yes, but specifically a combat shield / spirit shield only. For instance there is enchanter's and combat barriers in the game that have better shields than reactive/divine barrier, why not castable versions of shields that are better but more scenario dependent than divine barrier.
I love the interation of rescue beam, healing nova and divine barrier etc...
It would be fun for me to have more items that can interact with team mates. My thoughts are a slew of items:
1. Item places combat sheld
2. Item places spirit shield
3. Item that removes a debuff

This is the only game I've played this patch where the MM was objectively bad. Match: 29845579
3/4 lanes got stomped. I lost my lane but mostly because I rotated to help out a lane that was being stomped in comms and the warden rotated to my lane.
Team the whole game never pushed lanes...
