If you look straight up or close enough and throw your book, it doesn't fall down but just floats there for a bit before triggering. Guessing it has something to do with not knowing which direction to go.

When bepop sticks page with a fully upgraded bomb, page casts less powerful shields. Easy to replicate with spawning a bepop on training range and maxing out his bomb. Also I have no idea why the shield goes from 200 to 116 when bepops 3rd ability is a 30% reduction.
