And his build is one note. They can always reduce/remove the spirit scaling on the stomps base damage as a trade, it opens more options for lash to build, because balanced as we are build diversity isn’t something we have much of.
The per-meter scaling is fine, the base damage regardless of meter scaling sucks. Also just in general lash is gonna be a bit behind most other heroes, even when focused for damage, this change would give him a bit more presence if these items were built.
I mean the base stomp itself actually doesn’t. The base initial stomp damage is rather low, more than half the damage you’ll ever get out of the move is through the per-meter scaling at any point in a match, changing that initial stomp to scale off melee instead would not be that harsh a nerf...
I like the idea but it would be less practical than on slam or flog. Grapple is sort of meant to just be a utility, if it did melee damage you’d only ever land one or two melee procs a fight.
Lash ground strike scaling is pretty weak, and its damage in general is heavily dependant on items like improved burst. Letting it scale off melee damage would allow a lot more items into Lash’s kit and allow it to scale a lot more effectively with a lot of different items.
