This was happening to me too. I was trying to change keybinds and reset keybinds and I still couldn't text chat even though I saw other people text chat and talk in voice. For some reason I saw at one point near the end of the game I could of text chatted but it was too late for it anyway.

Yea, I was having that same problem til I changed it to something else just so I don't activate the alt-cast version.

Did you make sure you were missing at least one bullet? I think it only activates if it can reload your weapon. If you have full ammo, it might not apply

Are you sure your not doing the alt-cast cause that version allows you to stay near the ground instead of flying all the way up.
