I understand it was done to curb wallhacks via manipulating convars, however there are many players left unable to comfortably play the game due to this change. I would highly suggest reverting it and finding a better solution at least until the game is more stable.
running nvidia on linux and convars are the only way to reduce frame drops and frame times. valve needs to figure out curbing cheaters without hurting its userbase.
