Most if not all channelled abilities are disabled with a stun. However not Geist's Life Drain. This might be intended, but feels overpowered for an ability that can auto-aim and lock on, even when she is stunned.
Stuns get less and less effective the more are applied.
Silences do not, despite being crowd control, or other debuffs that disable abilities. This is why silence is now the new meta for disabling others for 10+ seconds in a team fight. Curse's, Silencer and other items are now overused...
The issue, and big one at that, is that you can do this round one with all abilities and make it look like they are level 2. The enemy also sees it like that. So in a way you can do this to confuse your enemy and they won't know what skill you've actually leveled.

I haven't tested yet, but I think Abrams shoulder charge can also do this but it's mostly just Doorman's cart.
Certain other abilities can also screw up your camera during ultimate, by zooming out too much and staying that way.
