I hope it's a bug. I always enjoyed trading commends with my opponents...

Could this just be human laziness? Previously, there was only one screen, displayed immediately after a match, where people could praise enemies and allies. But now, doing so requires several steps, and people likely simply skip that part.

When I try to reset the character's controls to default, nothing happens. Resetting controls for a specific character also doesn't work.
