I had a similar issue, error was similar. Something about an image file being corrupt. I tried to verify, nothing, tried to restart Steam, nothing, restarted PC and got it to verify, got back in and the game was over. I now have a 6 hour ban.

Game crashed. It was within the first 10 minutes of a game. I was in Blue, swapped lanes with a Wraith - yellow to Blue. Enemy Lady Geist was speed zipping in. Said I was missing a file and the game closed itself. Tried to verify in Steam, wouldn't verify. Restarted Steam, no go...
