Is this what you're experiencing? This was stuck open, couldn't see chat bubbles either. Reconnecting didn't fix it, but restarting the game did.

My partner has the same issue. The game freezes when opening settings, but if you wait an absurdly long time (1-5 minutes) it unfreezes and settings open. This only happens the first time you open settings after launching the game. I suspect this has something to do with skipping the processing...

Ah, yeah I'm running on proton experimental using dx11. I'll probably won't switch to vulkan because I don't quite get enough FPS as is. Edit: Switching to vulkan does seem to fix the issue.

The two blue squares above the cross-hair are the sky. This doesn't appear up close, so maybe it's only affecting the lower LOD models?

Getting the exact same thing here. Running on Ubuntu 24.04 Wayland with Proton 10.0 Issue fixed by unchecking "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool"
