It seems like Ava's melee counts as an ability and is disabled while carrying the urn.

First of all, if the spectate keys are unbound they get rebound to their default key and if you have something bound to them you are unable to us that action. Additionally, after a recent update even if the spectate keys are unbound all actions bound to keys F1-F6 are unavailable during death.
