Matchmaking is one of the worst aspects of this game. It feels outdated and obsolete, seemingly designed to retain players through sporadic dopamine hits rather than through a fair and competitive experience — which, ironically, is far more addictive. I truly hope Valve innovates in the future...

After 10 minutes, the game asked for a micro update and that allowed me to play without any issues. Maybe exiting the game and trying to update it could fix the problem. Just leaving this here in case anyone else runs into the same issue. Cheers!
