It did get hit but it got deflected, hence the word armor. The 50% on-hit prevention is for on-hit effects, I don't believe mercurial is an on-hit effect. Toxic bullets, yes. Not this item. Read what it says. Read what both items say. Plated armor mentions "weapon damage", highlighted in...

Again, read what it says. Indicators clearly show that the plated armor is in effect. Unless it specifies all types of bullet damage then plated armor should work against spirit damage as well.

Read what mercurial magnum does. It is dealing spirit and weapon damage when triggered. So no it doesn't bypass plated armor, only spirit damage does. You are literally waving over what is happening and you can't see the indicators????
