Just a fun discussion. Always wondered which TF2 character can easily be in Deadlock, at least mechanically.
Namely, I can think of three: Merasmus, Soldier, and Demoman.

Starting with Merasmus the Great.
Thematically, he can really fit into the world of Deadlock. A delusional wizard that wields a book that shoots out bombs.

Next up is Soldier, real name unknown.
Honestly I just want Soldier and his roaming gameplay into Deadlock. Lash is the closest one but Soldier does it differently.

Lastly we have Demoman. Real Name: Tavish Finnegan DeGroot
I only have a few ideas on this guy, but I think he can work.
Writing all of this makes me realize that there may be some huge crowd control potential, especially with Demoman.
Also, I don't know what lore I should come up with them, besides hoping that they're similar to their original counterparts. I only wrote all of these kits that are based of specific classes' (and a character's) mechanics from TF2. For all I care, they can change their lore completely and differently.

- Weapon: His staff.
- Dunno what his staff is exactly called but in the original game, it shoots some kind of lightning bolt on nearby players. I suppose it works kinda like Graves' gun but semi-automatic. Maybe the secondary/alt-fire can be the charge up made in the original game?
- Ability 1: Hellfire
- Lights up enemies in front of him and dealing DoT. It also launches enemies away.
- Ability 2: Prop Hunt
- Summons props in a wide area around him and disguises as one of them. Also heals while disguised. You can probably switch props to make it actually usable.
- Ability 3: Jarate? (Read below for more)
- I am so sorry. Throw a weird jar of liquids to enemies to soak them and mark them for death, increasing the damage being dealt to them by allies.
- Ultimate: Bombnomicon!
- Basically his signature move in the original where he holds his book up his head and shoots bombs around him. It mixes Seven's ult and Calico bombs without the sticking
- Ability 3: Wheel of Fate
- Spin the wheel of fate that provides different effects:
- Jarate: Splash enemies with a weird liquid and mark them with death (Increased damage received from enemies)
- Uber: Allies near Merasmus get increased resistances
- Zero Gravity: Allies near Merasmus receives a speed buff and lower gravity
- Kritz: Allies near Merasmus deal increased damage
- The wheel starts spinning when there's 6 seconds left in the cooldown. Also just for the funny, have the wheel spin through useless and inaccessible cards.

- Weapon: The Shotgun
- Maybe the same design as the original but eh, this is the best I can think of that isn't the Rocket Launcher.
- Ability 1: Rocket Launcher
- Switch to the Rocket Launcher that deals explosive AoE damage. Direct Hits to aerial enemies deal massive damage. Rockets deal self-damage when exploding upon close proximity to Soldier and launches him to the air.
- Base minimum of 4 rockets. Each rocket has its cooldown but having this ability active can have Soldier visually reload the rocket.
- Ability 2: Base Jumper
- Deploy a parachute in the air that lets Soldier decrease his falling speed and gets improved air control.
- One of the upgrades can increase the Rocket Launcher fire rate.
- Ability 3: Gunboats (Passive)
- Decreases the self-damage done by the Rocket Launcher to Soldier. Additionally killing heroes with the Rocket Launcher provides an extra charge to the Rocket Launcher (Maximum of 4 extra rockets, loses a stack upon death, not affected by items that increases charges).
- Also hitting a light melee before landing deals higher damage.
- Ultimate: Concheror
- Works like Silver's ultimate. Deal damage to charge the Concheror. When filled, Soldier will blow the horn and activates the Ultimate.
- Provides a team-wide buff that increases speed boost, and increased life-steal of every variety (melee, bullet, and spirit).

Lastly we have Demoman. Real Name: Tavish Finnegan DeGroot
I only have a few ideas on this guy, but I think he can work.
- Weapon: Grenade Launcher
- A projectile-based launcher that deals explosive AoE damage. Direct hits make the grenades explode upon impact, otherwise it will roll in the ground
- Deals self-damage to Demoman if the explosion is close and hits Demoman.
- Ability 1: Loose Cannon
- Reloads a cannonball to the weapon. Hold the fire button (Mouse 1) to control the grenade's fusing time. Letting go of the fire button will shoot the cannonball. Upon direct impact won't make the cannonball explode but displaces affected enemies or bounces of surfaces, repeating this action until the fuse runs out and explodes.
- Affected enemies receives increased damage from the cannonball's explosion.
- Deal self-damage to Demoman if the explosion is close and hits Demoman.
- Ability 2: Chargin' Targe
- Charge head on, dealing damage and knocking back enemies upon hit.
- One of the upgrades increases movement control when using the ability.
- Ability 3: Sticky Trap
- Switch to the Sticky Launcher with 4 charges minimum. Deploy sticky bombs that stick to every surface. Press this ability again to make all bombs explode.
- Deals self-damage to Demoman if the explosion is close and hits Demoman.
- Ultimate: Eyelander
- Switch to his haunted sword that deals unparryable melee damage. Decreases the cooldown on Chargin' Targe, with each Hit decreases the cooldown of the Chargin' Targe.
- Unable to switch to Loose Cannon or Stick Trap.
- Resets the duration upon an hero kill.
- Each hero kill with the sword increases base health, speed, and charge duration of Chargin' Targe. Maximum of 8 stacks, and loses 1 upon death.
Writing all of this makes me realize that there may be some huge crowd control potential, especially with Demoman.
