Reoccurring freeze with nvidia

I have been having a rare reoccurring freeze mid match that I suspect is actually an issue with the nvidia linux driver, but I was able to get a proton log at the time of the freeze. As the game is only deadlocked (hehe) I am unable to provide a core dump or a crash report. However, attached is a proton log for the full session including up until when it froze.

computer info:
Nvidia GTX 1070, running driver version 560.35.03 (newest available at time of writing) though I have also had the issue on the 555.x driver, and going older the game complains about needing a newer diver version.
I5-4440
24 gbs ddr3
6.10.6-10 Manjaro Kernel
Proton Experimental

Launch Args confirmed to have the issue
PROTON_LOG=1 gamemoderun %command% -nojoy +engine_low_latency_sleep_after_client_tick true +mat_queue_mode 2 +cl_forcepreload 1
gamemoderun %command%

EDIT: Another user in the discord said they're also having the same issue using driver 555.58.02. Their sepcs are RTX 2070, 6.9.11, using flatpak Steam.

Having a very similar issue, although the freeze is consistently every match after about 5 minutes. I'm running a GTX 1660 6GB on Pop!OS, Proton Experimental & GE, driver 555.58.02, kernel 6.9.3, 16GB DDR4 w/ 4gb swap on the SSD, which the game is also installed on. No launch options other than to grab logs. Happens on both DX11 & Vulkan - however, the games seem to last longer on DX11, and the logs are different. I've left both of them attached. The system's CPU is an AMD Ryzen 5 2600x.

I'm having a similar issue, where the game randomly freezes for 0.1-ish seconds.
From console I can only see

```
Excessive frame time of 133.46ms clamped. Acting as if fthe frame only took 100.ms
129.39ms Networking
2.00ms Client Rendering
1.40ms Frame Boundary
0.74ms Client Simulation
0.56ms ClientSimulateTick
0.47ms Prediction
```

This keeps reocurring often, on nvidia 560.35 drivers, Fedora 40, using Gnome 46 and Proton GE 9.15, happens on both x11, wayland and dx11 and vulkan rendering modes. Settings don't seem to change anything.
My specs are 7800x3d, a x670 Gigabyte Gaming X AX, and 3080 (10gb, early release).
The game consistently reports something under the networking perf check as a lag, I also had Crient Presentation or something like that once, but that was cuz I was minimizing/maximizing the window, which is fine.
As for network - I don't really know what exactly is causing this issue, no other proton games nor applications have any issues with the connection and I could not see a lag in FF14 during regular gameplay, which would also stress the connection.
I also shut down all the programs running and it still did it, which points to something being in the code, as far as I remember it didn't happen until recently-ish.

Not the same issue, the game comletly freeezes and doesn't recover. What you're experiencing is microstuttesr. Looking from teh log, it appears to be an issue with networking.

I wonder if it is proton issue? I've also noticed that my network is constantly the most expensive thing in the frame stutters.

Maybe not the same, I didn't want to make a new thread since I'm unsure what causes it.

I tried proton GE from 9.9 to 9.15 and it occurs on all versions. The weird thing is that the game didn't do this until around the patch that added preloading the map. Could be there's a random request somewhere in the engine that's blocking, since it happens every ~10m

The same here, the game completely freezes and nothing happens again. It can happen after 1 minutes, or 1 hour, it varies. I tried with AMD drivers on the same machine and the freeze doesn't happen, so it's definitely NVIDIA.

I'm using the driver 560.35.03 on an RTX 3060.

The issue was not happening a few weeks back (maybe a month).
