The menu background scene is Vert- instead of Hor+ (it cuts off the top and bottom of the screen instead of extending the view on the sides), which ruins the framing of the scene on ultrawide screens (and likely somewhat affects it on Steam Deck!).

In order to make to prevent this from happening you could make the FOV in the menu scene be static, based on a 16:9 frame, so that on a Steam Deck, where the aspect ratio is 16:10, more of the scene will be visible vertically, and on a 21:9 (ultrawide) monitor more of the scene would be visible on the horizontal axis.
It is likely a default setting in Source 2 that needs to be changed, as the issue was also present in Aperture Desk Job (You can't see the table)
