Dr. Clinker!
Backstory :
A colleague of a tinker from another dimension, presumed dead in the violet plateau and somehow ending up in 1950s New York by some mysterious and occultish occurrence.
Actual hero idea :
Attack animation / ideas
M1 Attack : Bebop-style laser maybe a charge burst style like actual tinker laser.
M2 Attack : Missiles reminiscent of yamato right click, but maybe with a homing aspect similar to wraith card that still makes it dodgeable.
(Alternative) M2 Attack : Generic projectile that just applies a simple non-stacking damage amp to keep this character as a caster.
(Alt-Alternative) Passive Ability : Makes his laser apply a stacking spirit power damage amp on hit (Could also make it have an increasing blind but I personally feel that is too obnoxious)
First ability ideas :
Bot Swarm Grenade : A grenade-type farming ability that creates a swarm of bots that deals damage over time and reduces resistances for enemies in the swarm, and applies a debuff that makes the effect linger for a second after leaving. Allies in the swarm get increased resistances and the effect lingers in a short buff.
Particle Blast : Similar to tinker laser in dota 2, but applies in an area and just acts as a short cooldown form of burst damage on an ability. Could apply a debuff that slowly deconstructs the enemy, i.e just applies a DoT effect.
EMP Grenade : Another grenade-type ability that, like warp flare in dota, reduces cast and attack range. Deals damage to make it suitable for farming.
Wave-Collapse Pulse : An aoe pulse ability that applies a destabilised debuff which applies miss rate to enemies and evasion to allies, like a more obnoxious shivas + deals damage.
Second ability ideas :
Defense Matrix : Just like actual defense matrix from dota, status resist, damage block, everything.
Warp Flare : Warp flare from dota, but more versatile. Affects enemies generically, i.e teleports them away + roots them for a short period. Applies to allies inversely, i.e teleports them towards you or in a random configuration that isn't just inherently grief.
Go-Go-Gadget Helicopter : Flight mechanic, similar to vindicta but purely a movement tool, significantly more manoeuvrable but can't attack normally, only ability casts.
Rocket Boom : Shoots Clinker in a target direction, very short cooldown making it very similar to flight however requires significantly more mechanical prowess to pull off. Acts as the blink rearm movement equivalent I suppose.
(Rocket Boom passive component) Gravity Boots : Air control is significantly increased, fall speed reduced, wall jumping now only has an internal cooldown. Meaning Clinker can wall jump multiple times without needing to touch the ground.
Third ability ideas :
Gravity Boots : This is just the rocket boom passive but possibly separated onto another ability for balance.
Temporal Field : Just time zone from dota with maybe an arc warden bubble type aoe.
Superposition : Applies a buff to self or allies that practically gives them 50% backtrack / evasion.
Supreme Intellect : Every ability hit / kill / assist whatever gives stacking soul power, just some mechanic to stack it to make this character a similar late game menace like tinker.
Ultimate ability ideas :
Arsenal Swap : Swaps to next set of abilities (doesnt swap movement ability), Could be a simpler version of invoker.
Occult Harness : Book of Shadows type ability, affects enemies by silencing and muting them + making them untargetable to their own allies. Allies are affected inversely, still silencd and muted, but untargetable to enemies and refunds portion of ability cd if cast on an ally.
Rearm : Would be stupid to add considering there is no real mana limitation on this character in this game, but its worth thinking about.
Rocket/Gravity Boots : Rocket boom from the second ability idea, very low cooldown ultimate that acts purely as a passive + active movement ability. Repasting for clarity :
